Update the files

Send a new bundle from the site’s page. Each upload creates a new release, and publishing swaps the site to it atomically — visitors get either the old files or the new ones, never a mixture. The previous release stops being served immediately.

Updating never changes the address and never changes the visibility.

Rename

Changes the label on your dashboard. Nothing else. See your site’s URL.

Switch it off, and back on

Taking a site down stops it serving; visitors get a 404. Your files stay where they are and your visibility setting is untouched. Putting it back on serves the same release again.

You can do this as often as you like — it is a switch, not a deletion.

Delete

Removes the site and its files. The address is retired and will never be issued to anyone again.

There is no undo. Send the files again and you get a new site at a new address; a deleted site cannot be recovered or recreated at its old one.

Limits worth knowing

You can hold 10 sites at once. Delete something, or reuse an existing site by updating it, to make room.

You can publish 100 times in a rolling day across all your sites, and run 3 publishes at the same time.

What you cannot do yourself

If a site has been banned for abuse, you cannot switch it back on and you cannot delete it. Both the files and the record are evidence, and only an administrator can clear it. This is the one state that is not yours to reverse.

A site held for routine first-publish review is different: you cannot switch that one on either, but you can delete it if you would rather walk away.
